The phone's for you

"Chelsea!!!!! Phone!!!!!!!!!"

"Okay, I'll be there in a second."

"Hurry up."

"Who is it?"

"They didn't say."

"Hello?"

I don't get very many home phone calls anymore because I have a cell phone and usually I can't hear the home phone ringing from my upstairs bedroom with my headphones on. Plus, not very many people call me anyways. But what about when God calls you? Sure, he doesn't use the phone, but he might use someone like a Ruth to get through to you. So, what will you do? Are you going to hang up? Or are you going listen to what God wants to tell you? Are you afraid of what He might tell you? What if He wants you to move away from friends, family, and your church? Would you accept that? Sure God doesn't have a physical phone, but He has something else. It's called prayer and when dialing for God, you dial the operator who then sends the word to the Big Man himself. Who is that operator, you ask? Well, think about it. When we are about to finish praying, what do we normally say? "In Christ, Jesus' name I pray." Yep, Jesus is that operator. Some of you may remember me talking about instant messaging as an analogy to prayer and I think this could be one too. So, is God calling you today to do something?

Aliens!

They're everywhere! They're taking over the world! AAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!! What will we do? Oh no!

Wait a second...I'm one of those aliens. You heard me right. I'm an alien. I'm not from this planet. I'm from somewhere else. This planet called earth is foreign to me. We're strangers on this planet they all call earth. I'm a citizen of Heaven. Why I am here then?

There's a purpose. We are the ambassadors. We need to go out and get more people believing. God has sent us into this mission field. We're waiting for Christ to return, so who are you going to offer the luxuries of our Heavenly home to before Christ comes back?

One day, you will go to Heaven and God will see who you've helped become citizens of Heaven and I'm sure He will be very proud.

I just thought of two very similar situations that are like the mission field. One is becoming a citizen of Heaven is very similar to becoming a citizen of the United States except maybe it's a little easier than having to learn English to become an American citizen.

The other is like war. We're in a war right now. I'm not talking about Iraq, but we're in a battle or war against Satan who is putting terrible things into people's minds and just destroying them. We're supposed to bring these people out of Satan's power. Right now, they are like Satanic zombies. We need to get them to join God's army. They need to see the goodness of living in Heaven and not in the very hot Hell. Who wants to be there anyways? I know it's not that easy, but mission fields are never easy. So, go out there and try to help some Satanic zombies find the goodness of God.
